Here I sit
Waiting
Waiting outside the shadows of dusk.
Waiting for someone to come let me in.

Here I wait
time and time again.
Here I wait
Knowing that eventually someone will arrive.

Here I remain
waiting on that elusive someone.
Here I remain
outside, alone
weighed down by the burdens of the day
