What I mean to say
my words can't quite convey
as inspiration seems to be set
on time delay.

What I mean to say
seems trivial today
while so many others
seem to dismay.

What I mean to say
lies beyond the Milky Way
on some small world
quite far away.

What I mean to say
on this first of May
my words just aren't enough
to truly convey.

What I mean to say
seems so trivial today
my words just aren't enough
there's no inspiration at play.
