The Moment

There's truth in the moment
we must capture the moment
and of course the moment is now!

We wait for that special moment
We wonder if the moment is right
You won't get this moment again

We live moment by moment
We don't want to forget the moment
We remember the moment when

Live for the moment
Just take a moment
and on the spur of the moment too

And not for a moment
did we not believe
this wasn't our moment.

Every moment counts
in large and small amounts
This is the moment of truth.

Writer's Collapse

I forgot the thought in my head
while washing dishes.
It fulfilled the void of
being annoyed with someone's wishes.

My hopes and desires
won't soon retire
to remember the initial plot.
The thought so good
it understood the feelings that were wrought.

But sadly I search
with no recollection
of the original verse.
A momentary lapse
of writer's collapse
A temporary creative curse.
