Rain in LA

Finally have the water falling from the sky
Dark and stormy evening
Morning filled with clouds
Rain drops pitter-patter
but this approaching storm is loud

Already there's disasters reported on the news
Rain for the So Cal people makes them sing the blues
Try to travel safely
Think of others not just you
Rain will go away eventually
but we don't want that to happen to you too soon

all around me people cry
What to do and how to drive
it's a fight to stay alive

A bunch of crazies on the road

A little weather and they forget

Way too hot to go outside,

stay indoors

on ice cold floors.

whirling fan above my head.

Way too hot to cook my food,

how can we be in a good mood

when all we want is to stay cool

and now we must head off to school.

A loud complaint's all we can do

Groundhog Day

Nature's four-legged forecaster

A furry weather predicting creature

is Punxutawney Phil.

Also a natural actor

When he starred in a full-length feature

Sharing credits with  Andie and Bill. 

Punxutawney Phil saw his shadow today. 

Winter it is, but who trusts a groundhog anyway ?

Anyone knows that shadow or not, 

6 more weeks of winter is what we've got.
