Writer's Collapse

I forgot the thought in my head
while washing dishes.
It fulfilled the void of
being annoyed with someone's wishes.

My hopes and desires
won't soon retire
to remember the initial plot.
The thought so good
it understood the feelings that were wrought.

But sadly I search
with no recollection
of the original verse.
A momentary lapse
of writer's collapse
A temporary creative curse.

More valuable

than a dozen red roses

The words, "I Love You".

Cupid's arrow flies

You appear before my eyes

My heart's filled with Love.

Emotions combined

Devotion is yours and mine

sugar filled treats
All these delicious
sweets to eat.

Chocolates for dinner
and breakfast too
plenty of choices

February is sweet
for so many reasons.

A day of Hearts and Roses
Romantic dinners and red wine
A day of guilt and misery for
many people all the time.

Singles feel as if their lives are somehow less than
 if they aren't a part of the love fest.
Couples feel they must  show their love in a grand fashion.
Or somehow their love is just not the best.

Gifts are purchased
Expectations run high
People forget
some start to cry

Why do we force ourselves to
show what we feel?
When what we should do
is show it for real.

Love is a beautiful gift
found in many ways
 in all our lives.

To find someone to love
is indeed for which
we all strive.

Dinners, gifts, relationships
Friends, lovers, family
Valentines they all can be
Don't get stuck in
superficiality


A simple "I Love You"
 is more precious and expensive
than any dozen of roses.


After all, Love is the greatest gift of all.

Cupid that mischievous fellow
Will get you with his bow and arrow
He’ll hit you no matter who you are
You can try to run but you won’t get far.


Cause Cupid that mischievous little fellow
With his little bow and arrow
Has the perfect aim.
He loves to capture people’s hearts
For his match-making games.


He’ll sneak behind you very softly
Then BANG! he’s hit you
Now you’re caught.
Your heart starts going flippety-flop.


So if you’re sitting sad and lonely
You had better watch it.
Cause you might just get hit by a little fellow
