Woke Up With

I woke up with the words to say
then on my way here they roamed away
Can't think of them
Can't remember
left on a whim
might return in December

I woke up with a thousand thoughts
I left the bed and they got lost
All these word it seems
are drifting in dreams
Can't remember them at any cost

I woke up with a grand idea
one not assembled at Ikea
Can't think of it
Can't recall
must have shrunk a bit
might return in fall

I woke up
with words to say
and  a thousand thoughts
A grand idea
that just got lost
Can't remember
not in this moment
Can't recall
and it's my torment
All shall return
in a rushing torrent
Until then I won't lament
