Constant Calling

On the fourth day of Christmas
my true love gave to me
Four Calling birds, Three French Hens
Two Turtledoves and a
Partridge in a Pear Tree.

I forgave you once
I forgave you twice
It was my mistake to
forgive you thrice

I woke up to the morning rain
It's cold and wet and I must complain
Not just about the rain that falls
but about these birds and constant calls

Why oh Why do you torment me?
A silly bird up in a tree
Turtle doves and strange French Hens
Now birds that call over and over again.

FEATHERS FLY
is what said I
now my love I just might cry

No more BIRDS
That's it I quit
Tomorrow dear

Feeding Frenzy (7/24/02)

The man in the shades

sifting seeds to those who wait

watches as they alight around him

in frantic flight.

Will he bring us more delight?

We will follow where he leads

for he has the magic seeds.

Power play to lead them on

Knowing their appetites are strong.

Feels like a king

but this he knows

It's only because of the seeds he sows.
