Wanted to sleep in today

something got in my way

That's what happens 

when you make plans

time and time again.

The truth conveyed

is often missed;

Add me to that missed out list.

I must admit I did it again.

Plotted a path

But with violent force

was drastically pushed

way off course.

My plans have changed,

I'm at a loss.

Through this idea

I draw a cross.

In this world

Who is the boss?

I'm venturing out much to my chagrin.

Will I alight on the other side?

I won't know for certain 

until I arrive.

But this will indeed be quite the ride.
