The Moment

Live for the moment but remember,

The moment is over in the blink of an eye.

Eternity beckons

What do you spy?

A lifetime of moments

so many lies

to others,

to yourself,

to all that count.

Temptation comes in many forms

to fight, to yield both are the norms.

You know what's right.

You know what's wrong.

To give in to impulses is quite strong.

Giving up what you want on behalf of another

a selfless act towards human sisters and brothers.

Life will continue

Your spirit will renew

the energy it needs to survive.

Temptation strikes

but you're still alive.

Begins Again

Holidays are over,

Vacation's at an end.

Morning light approaches,

It all begins again.

Alarm clocks are set.

Duty calls.

Open your eyes,

Stare at the walls.

Regular life has started

Ready or not;

Welcome new year

I'll show you what I've got.

Epiphany

Crossing the globe

on a journey far

A quest to reach a shining star

The road is rough

is long, is tough

You think of turning back

Seek the courage you lack

Go forward on your path

At trials and tribulations

doubts and insecurities

 simply laugh

The road is rough

is long, is tough

You must travel far

It's worth the trip

"I'm giving up"

Should never

enter your thoughts

or cross your lips

The road is rough

is long, is tough

As if by magic

the star appears

An Epiphany

The Epiphany

Your Epiphany

is here.

New Year's Haiku II

Time for reflection.

Life takes on new direction.

Welcome the new year.

Take a step forward.

Be blind to happenings past.

Make changes that last.

Hope springs eternal

New Year allows for changes.

Open up your heart.

New Year's Haiku I

The New Year Begins

Time to evaluate friends

Lovers, hopes and dreams.

Janus looks both ways.

Time to reflect on the past

Embrace the future.

Baby New Year's here.

Step forward to brighter days.

Embrace better ways.

Step Forward

Step Forward

There's no turning back

leave the past behind.

Step Forward

There's no turning back

push the doubts out of your mind.

Step Forward

There's no turning back

to yesterday be blind.

Step Forward

There's no turning back

your soul seeks it's own kind.

Your journey starts with just one step.

Which direction's up to you.

Moving forward is the goal.

To your heart stay true.

Reflection and Redirection

Reflection and Redirection
It's time to begin again
Start off on the right foot
Try to do it well

Reflection and Redirection
Focus and don't stray
Try your best and the rest will follow
Only time will tell.

Reflection and Redirection
leave the past behind
The power's in your mind
On the old you must not dwell.

Reflection and Redirection
The new year is here
Greet it with hope and good cheer
All adversity you will quell.
