Who's the moth
and who's the flame?
Just how tender
is this game?
Sweet surrender
would love to claim
another participant
in it's name.
Time has passed
it's not the same.
Exactly who
is playing games?
How'd we get here
from where we've been?
Should we travel
this way again?
Who's the moth
and who's the flame?
Just how tender
is this game?

Moth's To A Flame
Moth's to a flame
they call my name
out of the woodwork they came.
Laughter and wonder
What rock have you been under?
The summer heat's disturbed your slumber.
Memories retold.
Questions asked, quite bold.
Young at heart yet feeling old.
Semi precious thoughts.
Hold on to what you've got.
Let go of what you have not.
Blowing on the embers.
Ask if I remember
Those memories quite tender.
Moth's to a flame
out of the woodwork they came.
They call my name
but it's not the same.

Substitute Extraordinaire
Fill the void
Replace the original
Hold the place til the right one arrives
Substitute extraordinaire
How could you think that I don't care?
Fill in the time
Replace the loneliness
Hold down the fort til it gets sorted
Substitute extraordinaire
Get attached, don't you dare.
Feel like a shadow
Replace the memory
Hold on to illusions
Substitute extraordinaire
This is a moment that we share
Replace the original
Hold the place til the right one arrives
Substitute extraordinaire
How could you think that I don't care?
Fill in the time
Replace the loneliness
Hold down the fort til it gets sorted
Substitute extraordinaire
Get attached, don't you dare.
Feel like a shadow
Replace the memory
Hold on to illusions
Substitute extraordinaire
This is a moment that we share

Love, Lust and Lasciviousness
Love, lust and lasciviousness
various shades of grey
interconnected emotions
with which we want to play
Love, lust and lasciviousness
various shades of grey
interconnected emotions
leading us astray
Love, lust and lasciviousness
various shades of grey
interconnected emotions
causing wanton displays
Love, lust and lasciviousness
various shades of grey
interconnected emotions
that can lead to dismay
Love, lust and lasciviousness
various shades of grey
interconnected emotions
each of us conveys
Love, lust and lasciviousness
various shades of grey
interconnected emotions
with which we want to play

Randomness
This, that and the other
One thing leads to another
Time and time again
in different directions I spin.
Up, down, over and out
Wondering what it's
All about.
Will I find my
beyond a shadow of doubt?
This, that and the other
One thing leads to another
Time and time again
in different directions I spin.
Hither and yon
Far and near
Over the horizon
Beyond the pale
I never know how far I'll sail.
From Timbuktu
to Kalamazoo
There's no telling what
I'm likely to do.
Try ask the Sphinx
She might tell you.
And if she does
then tell me too.
This, that and the other
One thing leads to another
Time and time again
in different directions I spin.
One thing leads to another
Time and time again
in different directions I spin.

Wearing Wings
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
like sipping tea with dragons
or waltzing with wizards
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
Like climbing stairs with ice queens
or sauntering past stilt-walking goblins
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
like playing chess with mermaids
or conversations with courtesans
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
like photo shoots with pixies
or moonlit bubble blowing
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
like teasing guards with their own swords
or capturing creatures for rewards
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
like bravely facing elementals
or gazing in wonder at flying elves
Sipping tea or climbing stairs
Playing chess and Photo shoots
Fights with swords and trees with roots
Creative creatures and clever wares
Among their midst I'm without care
But drive with wings I'd never dare
I put those on for finer things
like sipping tea with dragons
or waltzing with wizards
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
Like climbing stairs with ice queens
or sauntering past stilt-walking goblins
I never drive while wearing wings
I put those on for finer things
