Live for the moment but remember,
The moment is over in the blink of an eye.
Eternity beckons
What do you spy?
A lifetime of moments
so many lies
to others,
to yourself,
to all that count.
Temptation comes in many forms
to fight, to yield both are the norms.
You know what's right.
You know what's wrong.
To give in to impulses is quite strong.
Giving up what you want on behalf of another
a selfless act towards human sisters and brothers.
Life will continue
Your spirit will renew
the energy it needs to survive.
