Too Many Teapots

You can never have too many teapots
I'd rather have more than have not.

Sometimes I'm feeling Traditional;
So nothing but fine china will do.
Cream tea?
Yes, please!
Oh do pardon me
But could you pass
the Devonshire Cream?
Raspberry Jam  for
Crumpets and Scones.
Tomato and ham
won't be left on it's own.
Please pass the Fern Cake too!

You can never have too many teapots
I'd rather have more than have not.

Sometimes I'm feeling  Ceremonial;
An ancient ritual puts me at my best.
Youngest serves eldest
The tradition is sound.
Delicately placed on a Lazy Susan
the teapot spins 'round.
Healthy Green Elixir of
Sweet Jasmine Pearl
The tea of Old China Town
give it a whirl.

You can never have too many teapots
I'd rather have more than have not.

Sometimes I'm feeling Exotic;
Not cups but hand painted glasses for me.
Add a sugar cube or two
to an intoxicating brew
of Assam, Bohea or Moroccan Mint.
Poured from Brass Kettles
with unusual accents.

You can never have too many teapots
I'd rather have more than have not

Whatever my mood
or the tea that is brewed
you Must have the Proper Pot!
