Presidential Campaign
the rampant racism
is the same.
The characters
weren't doused in bleach
and therefore
garnered much
hate speech
This is why the anger lives
This is why there's a divide
This is why there's so much pain
This is why we still complain
The great American melting pot
doesn't seem to mean a lot
If your hair's not blonde
your skin's not white
and your eyes aren't blue
or else we're headed for a fall.
This place was built by many faces
We're a nation of all races.
United we stand but
dived we fall.
Will we do away with hate
or is another civil war
our imminent fate?
