On the third day of Christmas
My true love gave to me
Three French hens, Two Turtle Doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.
Birds again?
What is with men;
The same gifts over and over again.
I've mentioned before
but I'll say it once more:
No need for the partridge up in a tree,
No need for turtledoves following me
Nor is there a need for Poules Francaises
today tomorrow or yesterday.
My true love charming you may be
But at gift giving let's face reality.
A personal shopper's not destined for thee.
Please listen and hear
Any more birds and I fear
the feathers will fly
between you and I!
